While the world continues to change, the golf swing remains the same.
I found an article that claims three million golfers quit each year.
I have seen everything from four hundred thousand to three million quit annually.
I would imagine the actual number lies somewhere in the middle.
I always believed it is much easier to keep a customer than acquire a new one.
A golfer is a customer; make no mistake about it.
Golfers buy anything related to golf, from greens fees, golf lessons,
shoes, balls, clothes, etc.
The average golfer spends two-thousand eight hundred dollars per year on greens fees and equipment alone.
I appreciated the article because it did not blame this
problem on time or money.
Instead, this article blamed it on the game, more precisely, the difficulty of the golf courses. The article goes on to say that instructors teach the wrong thing.
Like the Lever Golf technique, I take the common sense approach.
It is no secret that golf is known to be one of the most challenging sports.
However, I would argue that the swing makes golf so tricky.
Therefore, it does not make sense to blame the golf courses.
If you knew the Lever Golf swing, you would agree that golf courses are not why so many golfers quit every year.
The traditional swing is precisely the reason golfers leave.
It would be correct to say that instructors teach the wrong thing, except
it’s all they know.
I learned not to complain about something unless you have a solution. The Lever Golf swing is the only solution to the golf industries centuries
old problem.
The traditional golf swing has not changed. The twenty-eight thousand
instructors are still using the same guidelines and standards.
If they have been teaching for decades, they may resort to teaching something they consider different but a less effective version of the traditional swing.
The genuine problem is the golf swing at the end of the day.
I have been teaching the Lever Golf swing, and I always hear how
different it is.
It is common for a student to step back and comment, “I need to wrap my head around this. No matter who I am explaining the Lever Golf technique to, they always say, ” it makes sense.”
I already know the different languages of a Lever Golfer.
The Lever Golf community does not sit around trying to think of ways
or phrases to make us unique from everyone else. It just happens
naturally. Lever golfers have a positive approach to the swing because Lever Golf is easy and fun.
No traditional golf instructor would ever say,
“for every bucket of balls you hit, you get a bucket of balls better.”
When talking about Lever Golf, people want to know what makes it different.
Things that people have a hard time wrapping their heads around are,
there is no swing plane.
Lever Golf is one bio-mechanical move that triggers a chain reaction of
movements, locking the clubhead into position and consistently putting the club between your ear and shoulder. (athletic sequencing)
Because Lever Golfers can make this one move on the very first day, they also can hit pure golf shots on day one.
The ability to perform this bio-mechanical move takes your hips out of the swing without sacrificing accuracy or distance.
Lever golfers do not rotate their hands through impact; this also adds to
consistent ball striking and the ability to shape shots.
The only commonality between the traditional swing and Lever Golf
is how we stand and hold the club.
Lever Golf is the easiest golf swing on earth.
Lever Golf is easy to teach and easy to learn.
The hardest thing to do related to Lever Golf is convincing
golfers that there is an easy way to learn how to swing a golf club.
But then, you finally have a choice, a swing technique that is easy to understand and fun.
Unfortunately, too many golfers believe they will figure out how to swing a club.
I just golfed with one such golfer. After telling him about Lever Golf,
he told me he believed he would figure it out.
I would say a victim of too much useless information on television and youtube.
He was maybe 35 years old and had been playing for a while.
The truth is he couldn’t hit the ball out of his shadow. Everything was a fade, and you could see his thinking process dripping off his body.
He will probably be another statistic at some point because he thinks he will figure it out.
So before you spend twenty-eight hundred dollars on greens fees and equipment, invest in a swing that will allow you to enjoy golf for a
lifetime.
